CXLB73259 is a PFM mode buck single cell nickel zinc battery charging management integrated circuit with fixed turn off time. CXLB73259 has an input voltage range of 2.7 V to 6.5 V, with few external components and simple application, making it very suitable for single nickel zinc battery charging management applications. CXLB73259 uses constant current and maintenance charging modes to charge a single nickel zinc battery. After powering on, CXLB73259 first uses constant current mode to charge the battery. When the battery voltage reaches 1.9 V, it enters maintenance charging mode and starts the internal timer. When maintaining the charging mode, it only enters the end state after the timed end. At the end state, no current flows into the battery. When the battery voltage drops below the recharge threshold, it automatically enters the recharge mode and starts a new charging cycle. The switching frequency of CXLB73259 can reach 500KHz and can use small-sized inductors and capacitors. Other functions include two open drain status indicator outputs, battery overvoltage protection, battery over temperature protection, and chip over temperature protection. CXLB73259 adopts a 10 pin SSOP package.
