CXLB73258 is a PFM mode buck single cell nickel hydrogen battery charging management integrated circuit with fixed turn off timeThe input voltage range is 2.7V to 6.5V, with few external components and simple application, making it very suitable for single nickel hydrogen battery charging management applications. CXLB73258 uses constant current and maintenance charging modes to charge a single nickel hydrogen battery. After powering on, CXLB73258 first uses constant current mode to charge the battery. When the battery voltage reaches 1.36V, it enters maintenance charging mode and starts the internal timer. The end state is only entered when the charging mode is maintained, timed to end, or when the battery voltage reaches the highest voltage (typical value 1.46V). At the end state, no current flows into the battery. When the battery voltage drops below the recharge threshold, it automatically enters the recharge mode and starts a new charging cycle. The switching frequency of CXLB73258 can reach 500KHz and can use small-sized inductors and capacitors. Other functions include two open drain status indicator outputs, battery overvoltage protection, and chip over temperature protection. CXLB73258 adopts an 8-pin eSOP package.
