The CXUS7744 incorporates dual 95mΩ P-channel MOSFET power switches for power-distribution systems that require multiple power switches in a single package. Each switch is controlled by a logic enable input. When either output load exceeds the current-limit threshold or a short is present, the device limits the outputs current to a safe level by switching into a constant-current limit mode with fold back, pulling the over-current (OCB(s)) logic output low. When continuous heavy overloads or short-circuits increase the power dissipation in the switches, causing the junction temperature to raise, a thermal protection circuit shutdown the switches to prevent damage. Internal Under Voltage Lock-Out (UVLO) circuitry ensures that the switches remain off until valid input voltage is present. Each power switch is designed to set current limit at 1A typically. OCB(s) are open-drain outputs which are asserted when over-current occurs. A 8ms fault-blanking feature enables the circuit to ignore momentary faults, such as those caused when hot-swapping a capacitive load, preventing false alarms to the host system.

The CXUS7741 CXUS7742 series of power switches are designed for USB applications. The 62m N-channel MOSFET power switch satisfies the voltage drop requirements of USB specification. The protection features include current-limit protection, short-circuit protection, and over-temperature protection.The device limits the output current at current limit threshold level. When VOUT drops below 1.5V, the devices limit the current to a lower and safe level. The over-temperature protection limits the junction temperature below 140℃in case of short circuit or over load conditions.Other features include a deglitched OCB output to indicate the fault condition and an enable input to enable or disable the device.

The CXUS7736 series are 33mW high-side load switches designed to be operated from 1.5V to 5.5V. The load switch that supports 1.5V logic level control and shutdown features can deliver load current up to 3A. The CXUS7736 incorporates a soft-start control circuitry to limit inrush current during powering-up. When disabled, an internal discharge circuit automatically discharges a capacitive load. The enable input pin is actively pulled down to keep the device in off state until the enable pin is pulled above 1.2V. The level shift circuitry allows low voltage logic signals to switch higher supply voltage. The EN input voltage can be as high as 5.5V and is not limited by the input voltage. With the virtues of low quiescent current and low shut down current, the CXUS7736 series are ideal for battery powered systems to maximum battery life, as well as non-battery powered applications. They are available in tiny 1.2mmx1.2mm WLCSP-4 packages.
