CXLB73264 is a PWM step-down mode four-cell battery charging management integrated circuit that can be powered by solar panels. It manages four-cell battery charging independently and has a small package shape, advantages such as few peripheral components and simple use CXLB73264 has trickle, constant current and constant voltage charging modes, which is very suitable for charging management of four lithium batteries. Constant voltage charging voltage is set by CXLB73264 internal feedback resistor; In constant current charging mode, charging current is set by an external resistor. When the solar panel is used for power supply, the internal circuit can automatically track the maximum power point of the solar panel. Users do not need to consider the worst case, and can make maximum use of the output power of the solar panel, it is very suitable for applications powered by solar panels. For lithium batteries with deep discharge, when the battery voltage is lower than 66.6%(typical value) of the constant voltage charging voltage, CXLB73264 trickle charge the battery with 25% of the set constant current charging current. In the constant voltage charging stage, the charging current gradually decreases. When the charging current decreases to 15% of the constant current charging current, the charging ends. In the end-of-charge state, if the battery voltage drops below of the constant voltage charging voltage, a new charging cycle is automatically started. When the input power is powered down or the input voltage is lower than the battery voltage, the CXLB73264 automatically enters the sleep mode. Other functions include battery temperature monitoring in accordance with JEITA standards, input low voltage latching, battery-side overvoltage protection and status indication. CXLB73264 are packaged in 10-pin SSOP (eSSOP-10) with enhanced heat dissipation.
