CXLB73194 is a complete single lithium battery constant current and constant voltage linear charging IC, the working voltage is 4.0~6.0V, the maximum withstand voltage can reach 28V, the maximum charging current can reach 600mA. It uses a very small SOT-23-6L package, only need to be connected to a few external components, so that it can be fully suitable for portable products. The CXLB73194 is designed for USB power supply characteristics, and the CXLB73194 can also be used as a stand-alone linear lithium battery charger.
Due to the internal PMOSFET architecture, plus the anti-back circuit, there is no need for external isolation diodes. Thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the chip temperature during high power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The charging voltage is fixed at 4.2V, while the charging current can be set externally via a resistor. When the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value after reaching the final float voltage, the CXLB73194 will automatically terminate the charging cycle.
When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power) is removed, the CXLB73194 automatically enters a low current state, reducing the battery drain current to less than 5uA. CXLB73194 can also be placed in shutdown mode when power is available to reduce the supply current to 60uA.
