The CXAR41316 is a differential input, direct output line driver/headphone amplifier. When powered by 5V, the device provides 3VRMS output drive for 1kΩ loads; when powered by 3.3V, it provides 2VRMS output drive for 600Ω loads. When powered by 5V, the device provides 125mW drive for a 32Ω headphone load. The IC has a 6dB internal fixed gain, and the gain can also be set using an external resistor (currently only the external resistor setting gain version is available, other versions need to be scheduled). The IC provides excellent THD N across the entire audio band. There are two versions of the CXAR41316 with different on-time (tON). The on-time tON of versions A, C and E is 5.5ms for headphone drivers. B and D have 130ms tON for set-top box design (currently only version A is available, and other versions need to be reserved). The internal charge pump inverts the input power to produce a negative power supply. The output stage of the amplifier is powered by the input positive power supply and the charge pump output negative power supply, and the bipolar power supply makes the output bias at zero potential, eliminating the output coupling capacitor of large size and easy to introduce distortion. There is no click/pop sound when the ICSD switches. The CXAR41316 has a 3D surround mode that is able to create the feeling of 3D surround sound on stereo headphones. The CXAR41314 also has a bass enhancement mode, which can enhance the bass of a certain frequency band to different degrees according to the frequency response characteristics of the earphone, so as to achieve the effect of bass enhancement.
