The CXAC85170 is a high performance controller used to secondary side synchronous rectifier (SR). The fundamental of CXAC85170 is utilized N-channel MOSFET power devices used for secondary side synchronous to emulate a near-ideal diode rectifier. This method not only directly reduces power dissipation of the rectifier but also reduces primary side losses as well. The CXAC85170 is applied voltage-second balancing control method and not directly connected to the MOSFET drain, so it is ideal for flyback power supplies over the wide-output voltage range. The SR drive turn-off threshold is not related to the MOSFET RDS(on), which allows optimizing for maximum conduction time.

      CXAC85170 SR 控制器是一款高性能控制器和驱动器,面向用于二次侧同步整流的N沟道MOSFET电源器件。控制器和MOSFET组合构成一个近似理想的二极管整流器。该解决方案不仅可直接降低整流器的功耗,同时凭借着效率的提高还能够降低一次侧的损耗。CXAC85170采用伏秒平衡控制方法并且不与MOSFET的漏极直接相连,因此在较宽的输出电压范围内都是反激电源理想选择。开启关断SR的阈值与MOSFET RDS(on)无关,这样可优化最长导通时间。当一次侧NMOS导通时,CXAC85170检测到SYNC信号下降,则立即关断输出。CXAC85170控制器提供了频率检测器,可在低功耗状态期间自动切换至待机模式,同时内置引脚故障保护功能。CXAC85170兼容非连续模式(DCM)、谐振模式(QR)和连续模式(CCM)三种工作模式。The CXAC85170 is a high performance controller used to secondary side synchronous rectifier (SR). The CXAC85170 will shuts down gate driver immediately according to SYNC drop down when the primary side NMOS turning on. The CXAC85170 offers a frequency detector to automatically switch to standby mode during low power conditions and pin fault protections. It is compatible with DCM, QR and CCM operation
