The CXSU63277 is a high-power, fully-integrated boost converter with a gate drive with load shutdown, an integrated 16mΩ power switch and 23mΩ synchronous rectifier, providing an efficient and small solution for portable systems. The CXSU63277 has a wide input voltage range of 2.7V to 13V to support applications with single or two-cell lithium batteries. The device has a 12A switching current capability and can provide an output voltage of 13V. CXSU63277 adaptive constant off-time peak current control topology is used to regulate the output voltage. Under moderate to heavy load conditions, the CXSU63277 operates in PWM mode. Under light load conditions, the device can select one of two modes of operation via the MODE pin. One is a PFM mode that can improve efficiency; the other is a forced PWM mode that can avoid application problems caused by low switching frequency. In PWM mode, the switching frequency of the CXSU63277 can be adjusted by an external resistor, supporting a range of 200kHz to 1.4MHz. The CXSU63277 also supports programmable soft-start and adjustable switching peak current limit.
