UnderVoltage LockoutbaV嘉泰姆

An under voltage lockout function prevents device start-up if the supply voltage on VBAT is lower thanbaV嘉泰姆
approximately 2.8V. When in operation and the battery is being discharged, the device automatically enters thebaV嘉泰姆
shutdown mode if the voltage on VBAT drops below approximately 2.5V. This under voltage lockout function isbaV嘉泰姆
implemented in order to prevent the malfunctioning of the converter. baV嘉泰姆
SoftStartbaV嘉泰姆
When the device enables the internal start-up cycle, it starts with the first step, the precharge phase. DuringbaV嘉泰姆
precharge, the rectifying switch is turned on until the output capacitor is charged to a value close to the inputbaV嘉泰姆
voltage. The rectifying switch current is limited in that phase. This also limits the output current underbaV嘉泰姆
short-circuit conditions at the output. After charging the output capacitor to the input voltage the device startsbaV嘉泰姆
switching.baV嘉泰姆

Because of the high integration in the CXSU63035, the application circuit based on this regulator IC is ratherbaV嘉泰姆
simple. Only input capacitor CIN, output capacitor COUT, inductor L and feedback resistors (R1 and R2) need tobaV嘉泰姆
be selected for the targeted applications specifications.baV嘉泰姆
Feedback resistor dividers R1 and R2:baV嘉泰姆
Choose R1 and R2 to program the proper output voltage. To minimize the power consumption under light loads,baV嘉泰姆
it is desirable to choose large resistance values for both R1 and R 2. A value of between 10k and 1M isbaV嘉泰姆
recommended for both resistors. If R1=200k is chosen, then R2 can be calculated to be:baV嘉泰姆
R2 = (R1×0.6V)/(VOUT - 0.6V)baV嘉泰姆
Input capacitor CIN:baV嘉泰姆
To minimize the potential noise problem, place a typical X5R or better grade ceramic capacitor really close tobaV嘉泰姆
the IN and GND pins. Care should be taken to minimize the loop area formed by CIN, and IN/GND pins. In thisbaV嘉泰姆
case a 10uF low ESR ceramic is recommended.baV嘉泰姆
Output capacitor COUT:baV嘉泰姆
The output capacitor is selected to handle the output ripple noise requirements. Both steady state ripple andbaV嘉泰姆
transient requirements must be taken into consideration when selecting this capacitor. For the best performance,baV嘉泰姆
it is recommended to use X5R or better grade ceramic capacitor with 10V rating and more than two pcs 22uFbaV嘉泰姆
