CXLB74202 is a powerful ultra-large scale integrated circuit mainly used for mobile power supply. It integrates five major functions such as multiple protection against reverse connection of input power supply, automatic charging management, automatic boost management, power display and battery protection into a single chip. It has powerful functions but simple peripheral application circuits, stable and reliable performance, free debugging and mass production, and high efficiency and high yield. The CXLB74202 adopts a unique single inductor multiplexing technology, with built-in high-efficiency synchronous buck 4.2V 2A lithium battery charging circuit and synchronous boost 5V 2A output circuit. The 4-way LED display output can display the power during charging and discharging in 5 sections, which is suitable for direct driving of red, green and blue LEDs and also for abnormal state alarm display. No external battery protection circuit is required, internal integrated battery multiple input and output protection (overvoltage, overcharge, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit, etc.). The CXLB74202 is specially integrated with the input power supply reverse connection protection to prevent the lithium battery damage and combustion caused by the reverse connection of the power supply in the case of production, maintenance, and user connection accidents. At the same time, it CXLB74202 provide simple peripheral circuits for customers to choose different functions and performances: for example, whether to automatically switch to boost when the charging input power supply is powered down; Automatic shutdown under light load (when boosting); Constant current adjustment for buck charging; Maximum current limit adjustment for 5V boost output. The QFN24 ultra-small package has good heat dissipation performance and simple peripheral circuits, making the CXLB74202 also very suitable for independent high-current charging or independent boost management applications for other portable devices. The CXLB74202 has a wide input voltage (4.2-7V MAX). During charging, the battery is charged in three stages: trickle pre-charging, constant current and constant voltage. The trickle pre-charging current and constant current charging current are adjusted by external resistors. The typical charging current is 2A, and the maximum charging current can reach 2.5A. When charging, the battery voltage rises, and the 4LED displays the status and power level in segments. The switching mode of charging switching frequency 700KHz makes it possible to use smaller peripheral devices and still maintain a small calorific value in large current charging. CXLB74202 built-in adapter power adaptive circuit, when the VIN current drive is not enough, causing VIN to drop to 4.2V, the internal automatic reduction of charging current to adapt to different power USB port, power supply or adapter. CXLB74202 the built-in anti-reverse PMOSFET1 and anti-backward PMOSFET2 circuit, there is no need for external reverse protection such as diodes, and the maximum input -10V input reverse voltage can be withstood. The CXLB74202 synchronous boost circuit can output constant voltage/current limit, the internal voltage is fixed at 5V, the current can reach 2A, and the current limit value can be adjusted by external setting (VIlmt): by limiting the output current at the battery terminal, the VOUT output power is controlled. There is soft start protection when the boost is started, and there is output short circuit and overcurrent protection (250ms long overcurrent/short circuit shutdown). According to the requirements of cost and performance, the external NMOS internal resistance is flexibly selected as 10-30mΩ, which can drive 5V(0.3A-2A). 5V2A efficiency up to 94%(VBAT = 4.0V,RNMOS = 0.015Ω, such as NMOS 8804),5V 1A efficiency of 96% (VBAT = 4.0V,RNMOS = 0.015Ω, such as NMOS 8210/8205).
