CXLB73236 is a charging chip with constant current/constant voltage function, with an input voltage range of 2.7V to 6V, capable of charging and managing single or double supercapacitors. CXLB73236 has power transistors inside and does not require external resistive diodes or current sensing resistors. CXLB73236 requires very few peripheral components, making it very suitable for portable applications. The thermal modulation circuit can control the chip temperature within a safe range when the power consumption of the device is relatively high or the ambient temperature is relatively high. The constant voltage charging voltage is set by the voltage divider resistor on the FB pin, and the constant current charging current is set by the resistor on the ISET pin. CXLB73236 has an automatic capacitor voltage balancing circuit inside, which can prevent capacitor overvoltage during charging. When the input voltage drops, CXLB73236 automatically enters a low-power sleep mode, and the current consumption of the TOP pin and MID pin is less than 3 microamperes. Other functions include chip enable input, power low voltage detection, and supercapacitor ready state output. CXLB73236 adopts a heat dissipation enhanced 8-pin small form factor package (eSOP8).
