CXLB73250 is a PFM boost type three lithium battery charging management integrated circuit. CXLB73250 adopts trickle, constant current and quasi-constant voltage modes to charge and manage three lithium batteries, and internally integrates reference voltage source, inductor current detection unit, control circuit and off-chip field effect transistor drive circuit, etc, it has the advantages of few external components and simple circuit. When the input power supply is turned on, CXLB73250 enters the charging state and controls the off-chip N-channel MOSFETs.
On, the inductor current rises. When it rises to the upper limit of the external current detection resistor setting, the off-chip N-channel MOSFETs turn off, the inductor current drops, and the energy in the inductor transfers to the battery. When the inductor current drops to the lower limit of the external current detection resistor setting, the off-chip N-channel MOSFETs turn on again, thus cycling. When the BAT pin voltage reaches 12.6V (typical value) for the first time, CXLB73250 enters the quasi-constant voltage charging mode with a small current
Charge the battery. Only when the BAT pin voltage reaches 12.6V for the second time, the charging process ends and the off-chip N-channel MOSFETs remain off condition. When the BAT pin voltage drops to the recharge threshold, CXLB73250 enters the charging state again. The maximum operating frequency of CXLB73250 can reach 1MHz, and the operating temperature ranges from-40℃ to + 85℃. Other functions include input power adaptive function, battery temperature monitoring function conforming to JEITA standard, battery overvoltage protection, chip overtemperature protection, two drain open circuit status indicating output terminals, etc. CXLB73250 adopts heat dissipation enhanced 8-pin small shape package (eSOP8).
