CXLB73245 is a PFM boost type multi cell battery charging control integrated circuit that operates between 4.5V and 32V. CXLB73245 procurementThe battery is charged and managed using trickle, constant current, and quasi constant voltage modes. It integrates a reference voltage source, an inductor current detection unit, a control circuit, and an off chip field-effect transistor drive circuit. It has the advantages of fewer external components and a simple circuit. When the input power is turned on, CXLB73245 enters the charging state, controls the external N-channel MOSFET to conduct, and the inductor current increasesWhen the upper limit of the external current detection resistor is reached, the off chip N-channel MOSFET is turned off, the inductor current decreases, and the energy in the inductor is transferred to the battery. When the inductor current drops to the lower limit set by the external current detection resistor, the off chip N-channel MOSFET conducts again, and so on. When the FB pin voltage reaches the internally set 1.205V (typical value) for the first time, CXLB73245 enters quasi constant voltage charging mode to charge the battery with a smaller current. The charging process only ends when the FB pin voltage reaches 1.205V for the second time, and the off chip N-channel MOSFET remains in the off state. At the end of charging state, when the FB pin voltage drops to the recharge threshold, CXLB73245 enters the charging state again. The maximum operating frequency of CXLB73245 can reach 1MHz, and the operating temperature range is from -40 ℃ to+85 ℃. Other features include maximum power point tracking for solar energy, JEITA compliant battery temperature monitoring, battery overvoltage protection, chip over temperature protection, and two open drain status indicator output terminals. CXLB73245 adopts a 10 pin SSOP package (SSOP10).
