Cxlb7325 is a constant current, constant voltage lithium-ion battery charging controller, which adopts the current mode PWM step-down switch structure. At 1MHz switching frequency, the cxlb7325 provides a small, simple and efficient solution for a fast charging single (4.2V) lithium-ion battery. The cxlb7325 charges the battery in three stages: precharge, constant current and constant voltage. An external detection resistor sets the charging current (with an accuracy of ?10%). An internal resistance divider and precise reference voltage set the final floating voltage of each cell to 4.2V ?1%. An internal comparator detects close to the end of charging, while an internal timer sets the total charging time and stops the charging cycle. If the battery voltage drops to an internal threshold of 4.05v per cell, the cxlb7325 automatically restarts charging. When the DC power is removed, the cxlb7325 also automatically enters the sleep mode. Cxlb7325 has built-in power MOSFET to reduce peripheral components.
