The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellent1Gy嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device contains1Gy嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600K1Gy嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DC1Gy嘉泰姆

Error Amplifier1Gy嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) and1Gy嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is then1Gy嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,1Gy嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensation1Gy嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. 1Gy嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-Start1Gy嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshooting1Gy嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)1Gy嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SS1Gy嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher than1Gy嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.1Gy嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and Hiccup1Gy嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak value1Gy嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB is1Gy嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV is1Gy嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. This1Gy嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The average1Gy嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect the1Gy嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition is1Gy嘉泰姆
removed. 1Gy嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown 1Gy嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. The1Gy嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then the1Gy嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remaining1Gy嘉泰姆
