Internal Regulator tgA嘉泰姆
The CXSD61054   is a current mode step down DC/DC converter that provides excellenttgA嘉泰姆
transient response with no extra external compensation components. This device containstgA嘉泰姆
an internal, low resistance, high voltage power MOSFET, and operates at a high 600KtgA嘉泰姆
operating frequency to ensure a compact, high efficiency design with excellent AC and DCtgA嘉泰姆
performance.tgA嘉泰姆

Error AmplifiertgA嘉泰姆
The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage with the internal FB reference (VFB) andtgA嘉泰姆
outputs a current proportional to the difference between the two. This output current is thentgA嘉泰姆
used to charge or discharge the internal compensation network to form the COMP voltage,tgA嘉泰姆
which is used to control the power MOSFET current. The optimized internal compensationtgA嘉泰姆
network minimizes the external component counts and simplifies the control loop design. tgA嘉泰姆
Internal Soft-StarttgA嘉泰姆
The soft-start is implemented to prevent the converter output voltage from overshootingtgA嘉泰姆
during startup. When the chip starts, the internal circuitry generates a soft-start voltage (SS)tgA嘉泰姆
ramping up from 0V to 0.6V. When it is lower than the internal reference (REF), SStgA嘉泰姆
overrides REF so the error amplifier uses SS as the reference. When SS is higher thantgA嘉泰姆
REF, REF regains control. The SS time is internally fixed to 1 ms.tgA嘉泰姆
Over-Current-Protection and HiccuptgA嘉泰姆
The JTM2234 has cycle-by-cycle over current limit when the inductor current peak valuetgA嘉泰姆
exceeds the set current limit threshold. Meanwhile, output voltage starts to drop until FB istgA嘉泰姆
below the Under-Voltage (UV) threshold, typically 30% below the reference. Once a UV istgA嘉泰姆
triggered, the JTM2234 enters hiccup mode to periodically restart the part. ThistgA嘉泰姆
protection mode is especially useful when the output is dead-short to ground. The averagetgA嘉泰姆
short circuit current is greatly reduced to alleviate the thermal issue and to protect thetgA嘉泰姆
regulator. The JTM2234 exits the hiccup mode once the over current condition istgA嘉泰姆
removed. tgA嘉泰姆
Startup and Shutdown tgA嘉泰姆
If both VIN and EN are higher than their appropriate thresholds, the chip starts. ThetgA嘉泰姆
reference block starts first, generating stable reference voltage and currents, and then thetgA嘉泰姆
internal regulator is enabled. The regulator provides stable supply for the remainingtgA嘉泰姆
