CXLB73215 is a linear charge management chip with 1A charging capability suitable for solar cell applications. The introduction of MPPT function enables the chip to automatically track the maximum power point of solar panels and improve the energy utilization efficiency of solar cells. CXLB73215 external TEMP pin can monitor the battery surface temperature. When the surface temperature of the battery exceeds the set threshold, charging is prohibited. This function is blocked when TEMP is grounded. CXLB73215 built-in drain circuit is used to ensure that when the battery does not need charge, the solar cell voltage will not rise too high and lead to chip damage. CXLB73215 adjust the output voltage through the resistance between FB and BAT. FB and BAT shorting can meet the application of 3.65v lithium iron phosphate; FB remains unconnected, which is 4.2V battery application; It can also realize 3.65~4.2V battery application through indirect resistance between FB and BAT. When the input voltage (AC adapter or USB power supply) is powered down, CXLB73215 automatically enters the sleep mode with low power consumption, and the current consumption of the battery is less than 0.1 µA. The chip has built-in anti-backflow protection circuit. When the battery voltage is higher than the input voltage, the built-in power MOSFETs are automatically turned off. CXLB73215 uses 8-pin small shape encapsulation ESOP8 and PDF5X6-8L with enhanced heat dissipation.
