CXLB73208 is a perfect monolithic lithium ion battery constant current/constant voltage linear power management chip. Its thin size and small outer packaging make it convenient for portable application. What is more worth mentioning is that CXLB73208 is specially designed for USB power supply specifications.
Thanks to the internal MOSFETs, there is no need for external resistance and blocking diode in applications. During high energy operation and high peripheral temperature, thermal feedback can control the charging current to reduce the chip temperature. The charging voltage is limited to 4.2V, and the charging current is adjusted by an external resistor. After reaching the target charging voltage, when the charging current drops to 1/10 of the set value, CXLB73208 will automatically end the charging process. When the input terminal (plug or USB power supply) is unplugged, CXLB73208 automatically enters the low current state, and the battery leakage current will drop below 0.1μA. CXLB73208 can also be set to stop working state to reduce the power supply current to 25μa. CXLB73208 built-in battery reverse connection protection circuit ensures that the chip automatically enters the protection state when the battery is connected reverse to ensure that the IC is not broken down and causes accidents caused by battery self-discharge. Other features include: charging current monitoring, input low voltage blocking, automatic recharging, charging full and start charging signs.
